Job summary:

We are looking for senior ETL developer/Architect to build end to end business data warehousing solutions, troubleshoot and resolve support issues. The ideal candidate must possess an excellent background in Teradata development with production support experience. This position requires leading an ETL team, create functional requirements and technical specifications as well as design, develop, test, document, implement, manage, and maintain solutions, utilizing technologies like Teradata, Informatica, SQL Server, Snowflakes, etc. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with domain and technical experts in the team.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex business requirements, functional specifications, design and write technical specifications for design and development
• Design develop detailed ETL specifications based on business requirements
• Assist in designing potential technical solutions, implement highly efficient highly scalable ETL processes
• Understand Data Models Conceptual Logical and Physical Dimensional Relational Data Model
• Identifies data sources and works with source system team and data analyst to define data extraction methodologies
• Act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, and existing designs.
• Provide coding direction to less experienced staff or develop highly complex original code
• Act as an expert technical resource for modelling, simulation, and analysis efforts
• Loading data from various data sources and legacy systems into Teradata production and development using Teradata in-built utilities
• Interact with stakeholders, users for requirement clarification, design, and development of ETL Process
• Lead one or more simultaneous Data Warehouse projects for BI and data warehousing initiatives
• Work along with ETL/Data Analysts and EDW Architects in designing/enhancing ETL architecture
• Perform hands on development and mappings using Informatica Power center
• Responsibilities include full lifecycle project management, solution design, and overall ETL design and development

Desired Profile:

• BE / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech in CS or other branches of engineering
• Experience in ETL application development and implementation experience using Teradata, Snowflakes and Informatica and/or other tools
• Strong knowledge in different data base technologies like Oracle, SQL server
• Teradata Development with Production support experience preferred.
• Hands on experience in Teradata, strong knowledge in writing SQLs, working with BTEQ, MLOAD and FLOAD
• Proficient in ETL Informatica, Defines develops documents and maintains Informatica ETL mappings
• Thorough understanding of DWH and BI Dashboard Reporting concepts
• Experience in the Healthcare Domain will be an added advantage
• Strong working experience in Oracle, PL/SQL, BTEQ, Unix shell scripting, workload analysis and management, security implementation, performance monitoring & management
• Must be an expert in script development using BTEQ
• Must have experience in shell scripting
• Must have experience in performance tuning, query optimization
• Must have experience in building data warehouse and/or DataMart
• Must have experience with database design, data modelling, dimension modelling concepts, ETL, data development, data integration, data distribution, data quality and analytics
• Should have worked in Agile development and scrum methodology
• Should have experience in Onshore offshore coordination
• Should have worked with job scheduling tool - Control M
• Experience in converting specifications to programs and data mapping in an ETL Informatica environment
• Provide High Level and Low-Level Architecture Solution/Design to the project
• Strong expertise with PL/SQL and T-SQL, Experience writing complex SQL statements and analyzing SQL Tuning/performance is a must
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and Excellent teamwork.
• Outstanding analytical skills, and Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision, must be a self-starter and lead aspects of project work as needed
• Good to have Abintio, Erwin, and DataStage experience
